Senior Manager, Data and Evaluation
Tehya joined Project Guardianship as the Data and Evaluation Manager in May of 2022. She brings experience in public health research, data analysis, and program evaluation. Prior to joining Project Guardianship, Tehya worked with various non-profit organizations in New York City for over 5 years. In that time, she has designed and implemented programs to help improve the lives of the most vulnerable New Yorkers.
Tehya is most passionate about addressing health inequities and promoting culturally aligned, holistic wellness in disenfranchised communities. As a New York Public Humanities Fellow, she designed an intergenerational health information exchange project for high schoolers in Brooklyn. Her research in community mental health during her time at The New York State Psychiatric Institute is published in the peer-reviewed journal Psychiatric Services.
Tehya holds a Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University, with a certificate in Population Mental Health from the Department of Population and Family Health. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from Kenyon College.
