The Honor Wall

Every year, throughout the month of May, we invite our community to celebrate the outstanding caregivers in their lives with an in-honor donation to Project Guardianship. These unsung heroes – family, friends, neighbors, and professionals – extend themselves time and again to improve and sustain the wellbeing of others. Whether they are picking up groceries, paying bills, accompanying their loved ones to appointments, or simply being trusted companions, caregivers are essential to the fabric of our society.

We are incredibly grateful for the caregivers listed on this tribute page. Because of their supportive, far-reaching efforts, older people and those living with disabilities are able to enjoy safer, more fulfilling, and connvected lives.

Ann Hoffman

My mom cared for my grandma, with dementia, for many years. Though my grandma was about as easy as they come in her demeanor with dementia, it is emotionally and physically exhausting to be someone's primary caregiver. My mom deserves the utmost credit and I know it gave her great joy to be able to do this for my grandma. I also know (thanks to someone who communicates with spirits on the other side) that my grandma appreciated it even though she couldn't always express it.

I could not have made it through the past nine months without the support and care that my sister Robin provided. From attending every doctor appointment with me and hearing the things I could not, to being with me in the hospital during my three-week stay, to giving up her own life for two months and moving in with me when I could not take care of myself. I am forever in your debt.
