This workshop will cover when Article 81 guardianship may be appropriate and what alternatives are available. We will discuss formal options, such as Powers of Attorney and Health Care Proxies, along with informal supports, including home care and community resources. Finally, we will go through what factors a judge considers when deciding if an adult is "incapacitated" according to the law.
